University of Kashmir Admission Notice

It is notified for information of all the concerned students who have appeared / not appeared in CUET–UG- 2024 that the On-line Application forms for admission to the 1st & 2nd Semester Bachelors Degree with Major in the programmes (given in annexure to this notification) under National Education Policy (NEP 2020) in the Private / Vishwa Bharti Women’s College Rainawari Srinagar affiliated with University of Kashmir shall be available on the University official website:www.kashmiruniversity.net w.e.f. 14th August 2024 to 31st August 2024.

The main features of the programme are as under :-
➢ All Bachelor’s Degree programmes are full-time regular for the specified duration as per National Education Policy (NEP-2020), with Multiple Exit and Entry options at various stages after even semesters.

➢ As per the UGC Guidelines for Multiple Entry and Exit in Academic Programmes offered in Higher Education Institutions, candidates who secure a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in a three year Bachelor’s Degree Programme will be allowed to exercise the option to continue studies in the fourth year of the undergraduate programme to pursue and complete the Bachelor’s Degree with
Research / Honours.

For ONLINE submission of application forms, the candidates are advised to:-

(i) Browse the Kashmir University official website: www.kashmiruniversity.net;

(ii) Click on the Regular Under Graduate (Under National Education Policy-NEP-2020) programme for private colleges, session 2024-25;

(iii) Open the ONLINE form, fill it up with choice of the available Colleges in order of preference;

(iv) Deposit the fee of Rs.500/- per Course out of which Rs.50/- chargeable as IT Fee through Online Mode (Non-refundable);

(v) Submit the auto-generated application form along with self attested copies of the following documents in the office of Dean College Development Council, University of Kashmir;
➢ CUET Score card (for candidates who have appeared in CUET);
➢ Matriculation Marks Certificate;
➢ Marks Card of 12th Class (Higher Secondary Part-II);
➢ Domicile Certificate/Last School Attended;
➢ Reserved Category Certificate (if any) issued by the competent authority;

Note :

The Principals of the colleges shall ensure that admission / classification is made strictly in accordance with the revised groups of subjects under NEP 2020 for the session 2024, available on University website.

It shall be mandatory for the candidates admitted in the colleges to attend the classes regularly as their attendance for eligibility to appear in the semester end Examination shall be counted from the date of commencement of Class Work.

• The allotment of College shall be made strictly as per the preference given by the candidate in the application form.

• Candidates applying for admission to the annexed programmes must have appeared in CUET-UG-2024 examination conducted by NTA.

• Students having CUET scores of zero or lower shall be considered as NON-CUET candidate.

• The students who have not appeared in CUET-UG-2024 can also apply for admission to the above programme. However, their admission can be considered in the Mop-up / late entry round in colleges notified under CUET mode of admission, if any, seat remains vacant after admitting the CUET appeared candidates.

• Admission of NON-CUET candidates should be merit based on the score obtained in the 12th class and as per university eligibility rules.
