Google Pixel 8 Pro Accidentally Revealed on Official Website ;Google’s attempts to keep the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro a secret have been thwarted yet again, as the flagship smartphone made an accidental appearance on the company’s official website. The slip-up occurred when an image of the Pixel 8 Pro in the “Porcelain” color variant was spotted on the promo page for ‘Google Subscriptions and Services.’
Shared by the user ‘android_settings’ on X (formerly Twitter), the image showcases an individual using the Pixel 8 Pro for a phone call.
Although the Pixel 8 Pro may initially seem similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro, a closer inspection reveals a redesigned camera module. The three camera lenses are now housed within a single pill-shaped enclosure.
Expected to launch in October, the Pixel 8 Pro is set to move away from the curved screen design in favor of a flat display. It’s anticipated to be powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G3 chipset.
Despite carrying forward the Pixel 7 Pro’s design language and featuring a 120Hz 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to bring substantial enhancements to its camera setup. Additionally, the phone is said to incorporate an integrated thermometer capable of measuring human and object temperatures using infrared technology.
On the back, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to sport a triple camera configuration consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 64MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens. The phone is speculated to come with 12GB of RAM and may be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
Anticipated to run on Android 14 out of the box, the device is expected to house a 4,950mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging. While an official launch date has yet to be revealed by Google, it is widely speculated that the Pixel 8 Pro will make its debut sometime in October of this year.
